How to Use TransGull (Desktop)to Translate Local Videos?

Updated this week

The local video translation feature in TransGull (Desktop) is a key part of its powerful video translation capabilities.

You can download the latest version of the client from the official TransGull website: https://transgull.com/

Simply select a video from your device, and with just a few clicks, TransGull will automatically transcribe and translate the audio, generating bilingual subtitles for you.

1. Open the Tool: Open “Video Translation” and select the “Local Video”

2. Set Languages: Select the source and target languages for your translation.

3. Upload & Start: Click the plus icon(+) to choose your local video file, and click "Start Translation".

4. Preprocessing: The video will enter the preprocessing stage. Please do not close the client during during this time, as it is required for voice recognition to continue.

Note: You can minimize the client window and use your computer for other tasks. This will not affect preprocessing.

5. Completion of Translation: When the screen shows “Translating… %”, you can leave the page and return later.

After the translation is finished, you can find and watch your video under “Watch & Listen Later” on the TransGull home screen.
