How to Install the TransGull Virtual Audio Device: Common Issues and Solutions

Installation steps

1. When using TransGull's Simultaneous Interpretation mode for the first time, select both "Activities on This Computer"and "Also Record My Microphone".

TransGull will automatically detect and prompt you to install the virtual audio driver TransGull Audio.

2. In the pop-up installation window, follow the on-screen instructions:

  • Click "Continue" and "Install"

3. Enter your computer administrator password, then click Install Software to proceed.

4. Once installation is complete, click Restart. After restarting your computer, TransGull Audio will be ready to use.


If TransGull Audio is not installed automatically when you enable Record My Microphone at the Same Time, follow these steps:

1. On the Simultaneous Interpretation screen, click Settings in the top-right corner,then select "Translation Playback Settings".

2. Open "View Guide: How to Translate you speech for the other party in online meetings"

3. Click "Install Now" to start installing the virtual audio device TransGull Audio.

Then, follow the instructions in the installation window to complete the setup.


Common Issues & Solutions

1. TransGull Audio does not work after installation

Reason: In some cases, the audio driver requires a system restart to take effect even if installation was successful.

Solution:

  • Restart your computer

  • Reopen the TransGull app after restarting

  • The app will automatically detect whether TransGull Audio is installed correctly

2. Automatic installation failed

If automatic installation fails, please try manual installation by downloading TransGull Audio at the end of this article.
