Installation steps
1. When using TransGull's Simultaneous Interpretation mode for the first time, select both "Activities on This Computer"and "Also Record My Microphone".
2. In the installation pop-up window, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
You will see a Windows system prompt asking: “Do you want to allow VB-Audio Virtual Cable Installer to make changes to your device?” Please select “Yes.”
3. After the installation is complete, restart your computer.
Once restarted, the feature will work properly.
If the virtual audio device is not installed automatically when enabling “Record My Microphone at the Same Time,” you can install it manually by following these steps:
1. On the Simultaneous Interpretation screen, click Settings in the top-right corner，select "Translation Playback Settings".
2. Click "View Guide: How to Translate you speech for the other party in online meetings"
3. Click “Install VB-CABLE” to begin installing the virtual audio device.
In the installation window, follow the instructions to complete the VB-CABLE installation.
Common Issues and Solutions
1. No System Sound After Installation
Cause After installing VB-CABLE, Windows may automatically change the default system audio output device to “CABLE Input,” which can result in no system sound.
Solution
Right-click the volume icon in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.
Select “Sound settings” or “Open Sound settings.” Under “Output,” change the default device from “CABLE Input” back to your speaker or headphones.
Common device names include:
“Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)”
“Headphones”
“Speakers”
2. VB-CABLE Still Does Not Work After Installation
Cause： Even if the installation completes successfully, the driver may require a system restart to take effect.
Solution：
Restart your computer.
After restarting, reopen the TransGull app.
The app will automatically detect whether VB-CABLE has been installed correctly.
