1. Download and Install TransGull
Visit transgull.com, the App Store, or Google Play to download the TransGull app.
2. Create a TransGull Account
Step 1:
Register using your Email or Google / Apple account.
If registering by email, enter your email address and tap "Send code" to begin.
*The verification code will be sent automatically.
Step 2:
Enter the verification code sent to your email.
Step 3:
Set a password and tap "Sign Up" to complete account creation.

You can also open the app every month to claim free monthly Shells.
The Shells you receive do not expire and can be accumulated for future use.
3. Open TikTok Live (or Douyin Live)
4. Open TransGull and Select"Interpret" → "Live Stream One-Way Interpretation"
After logging in, go to the TransGull home screen:
Select "Interpret"
Then Select "Live Stream One-Way Interpretation"
Choose the source language and target language (subtitle language)
After selecting the language, tap "Start Recording" begin to one-way simultaneous interpretation.
⚠️ Due to iOS system limitations, phone calls, voice calls, and video conferencing apps cannot be translated via screen recording.
👀 Once one-way live interpretation starts, all on-screen content will be recorded. We recommend enabling Do Not Disturb mode to avoid unexpected notifications.
Go to the TikTok live or any other live streaming app you want to translate
A semi-transparent floating subtitle window will appear on the screen.
Once the live stream starts and audio is detected, TransGull will translate in real time.
Example:
If the source language is Simplified Chinese and the target language is English, you’ll see bilingual floating subtitles.

How to adjust the floating subtitle window on your screen
When using One-way Live Interpretation, a semi-transparent floating subtitle window appears on the screen.
You can adjust its size and position:
Pinch in or out to resize the window
Press and hold to drag it anywhere on the screen
How to obtain translated text
1）Return to the TransGull app and tap "End"
2）Tap "Copy All"
*The text will be automatically copied to your clipboard
3）Switch to another app and paste it
