2)Bind your Number: Enter and bind the phone number you are currently using.

💡 No app for the other person: They just answer the phone and hear the translation. No app, no signup, no setup.

3.2 Choose Your Preferred Calling Method (3 Modes)

Method 1: Call from the TransGull App

In the TransGull App:

1)Go to the "Phone Call" screen.

2)Above the dial pad, adjust and confirm "Their language" and "My Language" (e.g., Japanese ⇆ English).

3)Select the recipient's country/region code, enter the other party's number , tap "Call," and wait for them to answer.

Method 2: Dial the TransGull access number

Use your bound number to call “+1 213 768 8887” directly.

After the call connects, follow the voice prompts:

1)Enter the other party's number with the country code, but without the plus sign, then press #.

2)Press 1 to use the default other party language, or press 2 to use the recommended language. You can also press 3 to open the language menu, then enter a two-digit language code to choose another language.

Method 3: Add translation to an active call

If you are already on a call, follow these steps:

1)Without hanging up, switch out of your phone call screen and open the TransGull App.

2)Check and confirm the languages set at the top (adjust if needed), then tap "I'm already on a call and need translation".

3)TransGull will dial your bound phone number. Select "Hold & Accept" to answer the incoming call, then tap "Merge" on your call screen to create a 3-way conference call.

⚠️ Note: Before using Method 3, please make sure both your phone device and mobile carrier support 3-way conference calling.

3.3 In-Call Experience & Viewing Translation History

  • Two-way voice translation

Speak naturally. AI uses the conversation context to deliver accurate live voice translation.

  • Bilingual call records

Review key details after the call, so addresses, times, and quotes are easy to find.

How to Pre-Set Languages for Phone Translation?

If you frequently initiate phone translation by dialing the TransGull access number from your bound phone number, you can pre-set the default languages for both parties in the TransGull App/client. Once set, the system will automatically apply your preferences, eliminating the need to manually select languages every time you make a call.

Steps:

1. Open the TransGull App and go to the "Phone Call" screen.

2. Find and enable "Default Language Settings":

On the "Phone Call" screen, tap "Help" in the top right corner, then select "Default Language Settings."

3.Set "Default Other-party Language" and "My Fixed Language" respectively, then tap "Save Preferences."

Once your preferences are saved, the next time you dial the TransGull access number, the system will translate automatically using your pre-set languages.
