Need to accurately translate PDF contracts, academic papers, or business documents while preserving the original layout?
With TransGull desktop's Document Translation feature, you can extract text, reflow it in a bilingual layout, perform manual post‑editing, and export freely—while keeping the original layout and professional terminology intact.
If you have not installed TransGull yet, visit transgull.com to download the desktop client (Windows and macOS supported).
Step‑by‑Step Guide
1. On the TransGull home screen, select Document Translation.
2. Click to select a file and upload the PDF or image you want to translate.
3. Choose the Source Language and Target Language
Choose the language pair based on your content and needs (TransGull currently supports mutual translation across 47 languages):
· Source Language: The original language of the file (e.g., Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.).
· Target Language: The language you want to translate into (e.g., English ).
4. Select the document content type and start translation.
5. Review the translation and bilingual reflow
If you need to frequently compare and proofread in two languages, we recommend switching to "Reflowed bilingual" mode. This allows side‑by‑side or segment‑by‑segment reading and completely resolves layout issues that often arise after translation.
Advanced Features & Personalization

Edit the text directly in the editor, then save once you have confirmed the changes.

In "Reflowed bilingual" mode, click the +/− text size buttons to switch among Small, Standard, Large, and Extra Large.
