When hosting a multilingual online meeting (e.g., involving English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc.), you can assign multiple GullBots to join the same meeting room to provide real-time interpretation for different language pairs.
Here are the common use cases and setup steps:
Scenario A: Multilingual Interpretation for Main Rooms (Multiple GullBots in the Same Room)
Ideal when all participants are in the same meeting room but require interpretation in different languages.
Steps:
1. Schedule the First GullBot:
Open the TransGull app and select GullBot Interpretation. Paste the meeting link, set the language pair to 「Japanese ↔ English」, specify the date, start time, and duration, then submit the schedule.
2. Schedule Additional GullBots:
Open GullBot Interpretation again and paste the same meeting link. Switch the language pair for the second GullBot to 「Korean ↔ English」 and submit. Repeat this step for any additional language pairs needed.
3. Participants Select Interpretation Link:
Once the meeting starts, all scheduled GullBots will enter the room simultaneously and post their respective interpretation links in the in-meeting chat. Participants can simply click the link matching their preferred language to view subtitles and listen to the translation audio.
Scenario B: Interpretation for Breakout Rooms (Assigning Different GullBots to Different Rooms)
Ideal for platforms like Zoom that use Breakout Rooms, where different breakout groups require different language interpretation.
Steps:
1. Enable and Create Breakout Rooms in Zoom:
Ensure Breakout Rooms are enabled on your Zoom account.
To do this, log in to the Zoom web portal and go to Settings (or Account Management → Account Settings for admin accounts). Under the In Meeting (Advanced) section, find Breakout room and turn on the toggle.
Before or during the meeting, click Breakout Rooms on the Zoom control bar to create the required breakout rooms.
2. Schedule Multiple GullBots in TransGull:
Paste the same meeting link multiple times to submit separate scheduling requests for each language pair.
For example:
GullBot 1: Set to Japanese ↔ English
GullBot 2: Set to Korean ↔ English
GullBot 3: Set to Traditional Chinese ↔ English
3. Assign GullBots to Breakout Rooms:
After all GullBots join the main meeting room, the host can assign each GullBot to its designated room through the Zoom Breakout Rooms management panel.
Once inside their assigned rooms, each GullBot will share its specific interpretation link in the room chat, providing dedicated translation for that group.
